Ever wondered what happened to Cajun Dance Party?

...no not really, they had a couple of good songs, but when they started singing about things I was doing in biology lessons, I was a big turn off...

However, I recently discovered that they split up, but out of the ashes has come something wonderful....

It’s basically two of the blokes from Cajun Dance Party, a guy with a massive 'fro and some girl...I think.

They sound pretty, well I guess laid back would be one way of describing it. Laid back, fuzzy guitar pop. There are currently 4 demo tracks available to listen too on their MySpace (link below) and their first single 'Georgina' is coming out on the 15th of March as a split with the American artist/band (I'm not quite sure..ha) Herzog...purveyor of similarly 'fuzzy' indie pop type stuff.

Okay granted they're not particularly ground breaking, the fuzzy guitar, boy/girl singer sound has been done before and is being done by a whole load of bands right now, but Yuk, despite the weird afro beast, do it very well.

So, on the whole +points to YUK for being better than the band they came from and looking genuinely pretty interesting. Check them out :)
