Best Friends!

Just a 'lil shout out here, a couple of days ago the latest single from The Drums was released, entitled 'Best Friends'.

Basically, it's awesome. Jangly guitar, plodding bass line and typically sparse drums it’s an 80s indie-kids wet dream. It’s been played live before, but this is the first time it’s been put down on record and if its anything to go by, their debut album, out at the end of April, is gona be immense. The lyrics may be pretty depressing at times ('You were my best friend/ But then you died/' what!) but like all The Drums' material so far, it’s got a sunny poppy edge that stops the lyrics dragging the song down into boring, samey love/unhappy song territory.

Oh and in the video, you get to see some of the singers dance moves...which are...camp...

And yes, I've seen him do them live...
