Gig tonight and other shit...

Hi all.

Okay, so guess what? I haven't got round to writing something about Reading..my bad, tomorow I'll do it ok?

Just a quick one here, first of all, tonight I'm heading into Windsor for some serious gigage. Local band Sephiroth are supporting Post-mortem Promises on the first date of their tour and it is going to be MENTAL. If anyone is reading this, be there, 7 o'clock, Windsor Firestation....:)

Second, big shout to Grace and Daisy who are seeing Muse tonight...why you would want to go and see them of your own free will I don't know, but hey, have fun guys.

So I actually have to do some music stuff now? Ok...

Clarity

Not a band, but an album, by American alt. rock/emo band Jimmy Eat World. Now I'm seeing them in November (*Excited noises*) and while they've a bit more 'mainstream' these days that back in the nineties (sigh...the nineties were good...) they are still, in my books, one of the best bands about, 'cos after all, being mainstream isn’t Hi all.
always bad kids...

But this album, Clarity, was their last album before they really hit the big time (with 2001's Bleed American) and it's my favourite of theirs easily.

The main reason is, it’s still got that slightly weird, semi-lo fi thing going on that makes me wetter than an otter pocket listening to 90's American Emo and Post=Hardcore bands, but at the same time its also the sound of a band reaching out of the underground if you like, you can tell listening to it that the next album is going to be massive...

Tracks wise, 'Your New Aesthetic' (rant against consumerism) and 'Blister' are my favourite, although to be honest, I don't think there is anything I don't actually like on the whole record. 'Goodbye Sky Harbour' is worth a listen too, mainly because its about 14 minutes long...

So that was short, didn't do the album justice, but I'm in a hurry, check it out!

Now, im off to eat curry and go out, cya.
