Bandcamp Round Up: Version VII

It's been a long period since we've last examined bandcamp and the delights it has to offer, but here it is the return of free music from bands that you'll love as much hopefully as we do.

Snakes - Just Kill Me Now

Hyperbole is something that all my posts at Easynoiz have contained, but for once this isn't the case as this is probably the best release of 2012 as of yet and it's with good reason too. Snakes serve up some sweet hardcore punk style riffs with the kind of high pitched almost screaming with pain vocals that I do so enjoy. The lyrics are absolute corkers "please just kill me" being my favorite so far and if it doesn't make you want to hit the pit or drop out of your day job and become a crusty/do loads of peyote and wear a sleeveless camo jacket then there is something wrong with you. (4/5)

Make The Effort - Big Jock's Victory Demo

It's not secret I have a massive soft spot for Scottish people in general, so whenever I get the opportunity to hear those sultry accents over a song I leap at the chance. MTE are youth crew in their approach, which may enrage some people and please others (such as myself), and the guitars are fast, the vocals are sweet (if a bit too quiet to be intelligible) but they are definitely worth checking out, get a pair of airmaxes and a battered mars bar and punk jump your parents to death. (3/5)

Single Me Out - The Next Step

 http://singlemeout.bandcamp.com/

It's clear Single Me Out have clearly got some very famous friends already as their demo contains not only Uriah from Dead End Path but also Dana from United Youth. The demo has some very fancy high grade production, and the vocals remind me a lot of Rage of Displince era Righteous Jams, with lots of room for hitting the pit and X'ing up family pets. (3.5/5)

Owen xoxo
