Inheritance Albums

 I promise this has a point just bear with me:

It seems as you navigate your way round the ages of 16 - 25 you take a lot of stock in what people think of you and what you think of others, which leads to a lot of mud-slinging and accusing people of "selling out/being posers" and sometimes a mentality forms where your stuck fighting to be someone who you're not because you don't want to be left out/left behind by whatever is "in", and it's a real shame when you pretend to have not liked something because it's fallen out of favour and you think people are going to judge you because you want to rock out to some Korn/Suicide Silence at a party and they all want to listen to whatever crucial dubstep/hardcore band everyone is bonering on about. It's a cycle of "enjoy then deny then ironically enjoy then enjoy and then deny etc" which creates an elitist and awkward situation when you start excluding people from conversation because they aren't down with the music you're into, and the cooler than you mentality forms and it just makes everything shitty for everyone. The long and the short of it is, if you start caring what other people think of you, you're never going to be happy with yourself and in the end the only person your chumping out of enjoying music is yourself.


With all of this in mind, I present to you a look at some form of crude musical checklist of the albums that shaped my taste in music and have shaped me as an individual and given me the opportunities to make friends with some of the most wonderful and interesting people I have ever met/dated.
