At easynoiz the two things we truely thrive on is stealing/aquiring/being inspired by other people's ideas and technology. This has come to a head recently as we realised that we can actually embed music into the blog posts without having to drag you away to some far away website which can be bloody annoying, so today marks a new era in easynoiz blogging: EMBEDDED PLAYLISTS! and what better way to celebrate than our choice cuts of acoustic goodness, so grab a blanket and a hot drink and cuddle up with your loved one/pet/pillow and listen to some fun interesting acoustic songs!
Irreplacable - Beyonce
Queen B dropping one of my favorite songs to a crowd and telling her background singers to do one so the gathered crowd can sing it instead, pure gold.
When The Man Comes Round - Johnny Cash
granted it's not an acoustic song as per se, it's still my favorite cash song and it brings back beautiful memories of the start of the remake of dawn of the dead, so big shout out to the cash man.
Paparrazi - Lady GaGa
Although her recent output has been less than impressive, lady gaga deserve credit for being able to write a recongisable banger and even without the original pulsating dance beat behind it, the stripped down version of this song is still great.
Montauk - Bayside
I love bayside and their acoustic album is one of my favorite things to listen to when i'm bummed out. but this version of montauk deserves the shout out for being about 1000 million times better than it's normal version and gives it a sensitive air.
Screaming Infidelites - Dashboard Confessional
As a 14 year old fat girl trapped in a 20 year man's body, I can never deny chris carraba and his open eyed lyrics and even with a chorus of people singing along, this is is truely one of the earmarks in what makes a great acoustic live perfomance.
Buried A Lie - Senses Fail
Senses Fail, the little band who are sort of popular but also sort of aren't playing songs off my favorite album by them and thus make it more depressing? sign me up!
Just Go, Just Leave - Transit
Transit are a relatively new band but their wealth of acoustic covers and b-sides is worth noting and this exclusively acoustic track is a great demonstration of the quality of lyric writing that the band posseses.
Hell Yes - Alkaline Trio
Live from london for members of their fan club, the bloodpact sessions are well worth tracking down just to hear this acoustic version of hell yes and the shout out he gives to noted murder detective book helter skelter at the end of the song.
Men Are From Mars - Four Year Strong
Breakdowns? done acoustically? I know FYS have gone into lame foo fighters terrority now but this is a fond look back on a simpler time of cheesy lyrics and breakdowns galore all set to a pop-punk guitar.
Fell In Love Without You - Motion City Soundtrack
Motion City Sountrack too fell to the curse of turning into boring dad-rock but their album "even it kills me" has some great songs on it and turning them into acoustic made them even better.
Ghost Man On Third - Taking Back Sunday
depressing, enough said.
Head In The Sand - Seahaven
haunting and beautiful song about dad issues made even more haunting on an acoustic guitar.
I Will Follow You Into The Dark - Death Cab For Cutie
every indie kid who used to be a greebos wet dream.
