so far I've done the whole ya know, jangy indie thing, which I ver much love, but somethimes, you know...something heavier is required...

So, Hang The Bastard, not a very child friendly name right? Well they're a metal/hardcore (or metalcore if you're that way inclined) band from London.

Now first off, they're not a 'ooo lets sound the same as everyone else' metalcore band, they're a bit more...experimental. No they're not a bunch of fat, leather chap wearing old gits 'experimenting' by playing the same riff over and over and over again REEEALLY high on the fret board (I'm looking at you Dragonforce...). They're more original than that (in a sludgy sorta way) with added heavy riffs and hardcore style vocals rather than the wanabe Bruce Dickinson howls you heard from a tonne of 'metal' bands at the moment.

I've seen them live (supporting Rolo Tommassi) and they were pretty fuckign awesome, and very very loud. Got their debut album/ep 'Raw Sorcery' there too, which is a very promising listen.

Anyway, they're got a split album coming out soon, and a whole load of new tracks, check them out :)
