For those who are not aware of the beauty of bandcamp let me explain it to you: imagine finding bands, that sound like the bands you like but being able to hear their entire back-catalogue for free (and legally) and then being able to donate like £2 pounds (or free if you are a poorly student) to download their music in whatever format you like. Sounds excellent doesn't it? Well it is and hopefully this is only the first of many features about bands who are on bandcamp that you need to listen to/support

Water Torture are a 3 piece grind band from somewhere, and all I can say is that this EP only gets better with volume. Seriously listen to it at a normal volume and songs like "Grey" and "Amber Vapour" seem particularly crazy, but nothing to hold your attention for too long, however turn this up to a volume close to a 747 taking off and you can literally feel the sides of your skin peeling off as you realise the pure breakneck speed that they are playing at, well worth a check out just for something reliable to bang your head to. (3/5)

Real Talk (Fort Worth, Texas) are a straight-edge hardcore band, and although I can feel a few of you instantly shudder behind your PC's at those words preceding hardcore band, I can assure you this is easily one of the best releases of that vein this year. Putting aside the sort of cheesy talking introducing thing with them criticising freebird (it does suck btw) this entire EP will have you wanting to put on some chino shorts and sing along at the top of your voice to songs like "Street Rep" and "Underbelly". It's straight-edge hardcore but done how straight edge should done, Hard & Fast (4/5)

Basically if you’re not already aware of how excellent Basement are, and how quickly they have blown up over here in England then you need to get this EP (and get the Album straight after). Songs like "White Elephant" and "Porter Street" are stand out tracks on this 5 track EP but that's saying alot as the other 3 songs alone can stand on their own merits. They haven't really done anything new, but they certainly have made it their own. Get this, then try and get tickets for the free show in December (4/5)
